With over 180 papers published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, Dr. Lin is a renowned expert in thermal and energy sciences with applications in broad engineering systems.
Among his several ongoing research interests is the solar energy technology for buildings. Students are currently working in his Sustainable Energy and Thermal Transport Systems (SETTS) Laboratory to design, test, and analyze hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) systems. Dr. Lin had served as one of the faculty advisors for the Solar Decathlon China 2013 for the FIU-THU student team. He is coordinating the use of FIU’s Solar House on the engineering campus for faculty and student’s research activities.
